Private person credit history

The private person credit history database is a register of payment default facts recorded during the Creditreform debt collection process. The database has been designed to safeguard the interests of creditors.

The benefits of using the Creditreform credit history database are as follows:

  • Every adverse fact is recorded according to a specific unambiguous algorithm

Every private person recorded in the Creditreform credit history database have their own credit history that may include one or several payment default facts. The private person credit history database can be searched by entering a personal identity number.

For every case of default, the following information is recorded:

  • Liability transfer date
  • Amount of liability in default
  • Amount of paid liabilities
  • Duration of payment (if the liabilities have been settled)
  • Type of goods or services that the defaulted liabilities have been incurred for
  • Information update date and status

The private person credit history information is used by the leading Latvian companies for risk assessment purposes. It can be accessed by complying with the requirements included in the Personal Data Protection Law and concluding an agreement with Creditreform.
